With the outbreak and rapid spread of Coronavirus globally, the worlds eyes are now been opened to how pathogens, bacteria and virus are spread. We have many strains of contagious disease that are spread daily but for which we have common medicines to combat. The Coronavirus are a type of virus. There are many different kinds, and some cause disease. A newly identified type has caused a recent outbreak of respiratory illness now called COVID-19.
At ACS, we provide a full disinfectant ULV/Fogging disinfection treatment. The products/ disinfectant we use work against a wide range of viruses and bacteria, the disinfectant we use has efficacy against enveloped viruses (Coronavirus is an enveloped virus).
We use a specialist ULV (Ultra Low Volume)/Fogging machine which allows the disinfectant to be passed through an industrial unit, which generates an airborne mist of droplets. These droplets diffuse through the treated area and settle out onto surfaces, meaning that the material used will be active both as a space spray and a surface spray. The key to successful use of ULV is the production of an optimum size of spray droplet. It must be small enough to remain airborne without being too small to hit surfaces – research has shown the optimum droplet size to be around 15 microns. These droplets are small enough to be carried on air currents into small cracks and crevices that are hard to reach using conventional cleaning and spraying, yet still heavy enough to settle out within an hour, so that treated areas can be re-entered with the minimum of delay. No matter how comprehensive a physical cleaning and disinfection regime is, it is extremely difficult to eliminate microbial cross contamination from surfaces and the air which could cause product/process spoilage and safety issues.
Whilst targeted physical cleaning and disinfection regimes may be sufficient to maintain day to day contamination, they are not necessarily sufficient to eliminate the array of micro-organisms which can persist in facilities, sometimes for years.
Here are some frequently asked questions:
What is ULV fogging - Ultra low volume (ULV) fogging machines are cold fogging machines that use large volumes of air at low pressures to transform liquid into droplets that are dispersed into the atmosphere. ULV machines are used for applying pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, sterilizers, and disinfectants amongst other chemicals
What is ULV treatment - ULV (Ultra Low Volume) Misting Treatment
The Ultra-Low Volume treatment is our latest technique of light fumigation for internal areas. The treatment involves emitting tiny droplets of our specially formulated chemical preparation into the open areas.
How does a ULV fogger work - ULV (ultra-low volume) foggers, also called cold foggers, do not use heat. Instead, they produce fog using pressure in one of two ways: Either the insecticide solution is pumped through a high-pressure nozzle. The pressure breaks up the liquid into tiny droplets, which then spray out as an invisible fog.
Which chemical is used in fogging machine - An anti-bacterial sanitiser which contains a combination of biocides that can kill bacteria, fungus, mould and viruses including Hepatitis and HIV. It may be used on all water washable surfaces to clean, sanitise, and remove odours. Suitable as a sanitiser for carpets, upholstery, hard surfaces, floors, walls, washroom surfaces, tiles etc. Our anti-bacterial sanitiser is a detergent sanitiser which contains a combination of biocides giving effective kill of bacteria, fungus, mould, and viruses including Hepatitis and HIV. It may be used on all water washable surfaces to clean, sanitise, and remove odours. Suitable as a sanitiser for carpets, upholstery, hard surfaces, floors, walls, washroom surfaces, tiles etc.
WSo why use ACS:
ACS are certified members of the National Irish Safety Organisation and the Crime Scene Academy and all our staff have gone through vigorous training in order to protect the health and safety of our staff and our customers. Our training and guidelines are constantly updated by the academy and we have access to a worldwide network of instructors for supervision and mentoring. We have risk assessed our systems and have a method statement put in place which outlines the exact procedure all our staff adhere to in each circumstance. From the donning and doffing of PPE, all the hazardous waste will be removed and disposed off correctly and the customer receives a waste management certificate, so you know exactly where your waste has been disposed.
We use industrial type compressors to ensure adequate dispersal of our solutions.
To ensure effective sanitisation ACS will provide you with a pre swab test and give you a printout of your results. We will then provide you with a post swab test so you will have a comparison of the work completed so you can show your staff/customers.
ACS are certified and fully insured to carry out this work. Should you require our sales representative to speak to you further on this matter please use the following contact methods:
